Throughout our lives Mum has been there for us
We only have to think of her and she will bring the
happy memories of shared time together that
are special to all of us

The Dash Poem by Linda Ellis
I read of a man who stood to speak, at the funeral of a friend
He referred to the dates on her tombstone from the beginning to the end
He noted that first came the date of her birth and spoke the following date with tears,
But he said what mattered most of all was the dash between those years
For that dash represent all the time that she spent alive on earth,
And now only those who loved her know what that little line is worth
For it matters not how much we own, the cars, the house, the cash,
What matters is how we live and love and how we spend our dash

There was magic in nana's touch, and sunshine in her smile.
There was love in everything she did to make our lives feel worthwhile
We found both hope and courage just by looking in her eyes.
Her laughter was a source of joy, her words warm and wise.
There was kindness and compassion found in her embrace,
and shining down from heaven above we see the glow of Nana's face xx
With love from grandchildren great grandchildren and great great grandchildren xx
