I remember our trip to London in 2010, we shared a room at the Hilton but unfortunately there was an air conditioning unit right outside the room that kept making this repetitive irritating noise!
We had not slept a wink and called reception at 3am who came to inspect. We ended up packing up, hair stood on end, in our nighties and PJs and being escorted by a bemused porter to another ‘quiet’ room.. We ended up having about 3 hours sleep, i would have slept in until midday but you werent having any of it Nan. We ended up having a really lovely day on a Thames boat down to Greenwich. A lovely memory ❤️
